Algebra 2 Class Info

The Basics:

  • Prerequisites:  Algebra 1 and Geometry**
  • Class Dates: September 7th, 2022 - May 17th, 2023
  • Class time: Wednesdays, 8:30 - 10:00 am
  • Location: 6007 66th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424
  • Registration Fee: $15 (non-refundable and will be put towards class supplies)
  • Cost: $600 (can be paid out as $67 a month)

**Geometry is typically taken before Algebra 2 but it is not required**

    • TEKS Texas Algebra 2 McGraw Hill Education (ISBN-13 : 978-0021392568)
    • A used edition is most economical. They can be purchased online at Amazon or other used book websites like AbeBooks.com.
  • Scientific Calculator 
    • TI-30XS Multiview or TI30XIIS Recommended (We do not recommend one line calculators)
    • No Smart Phones will be allowed for a calculator
  • Three ring binder 
    • College rule notebook paper
    • Graphing paper
    • 5 Tab Dividers
  • Pencils
  • Ruler

Class Format:

Shawn Fulkerson, a certified math instructor, will teach the content during class time once a week and send out a lecture video for the second "class time" to make sure all content gets covered. Homework will be assigned for the student to work on at home. Short, timed quizzes will be given at the beginning of each class to check for understanding.  Tests will be given at the end of each unit to measure mastery of the concepts.
